Ranked among the top candidates nationwide in the university entrance examination and was awarded a Ministry of National Education scholarship for study abroad. Completed undergraduate studies in political science and philosophy at Indiana University Bloomington and a master’s degree in theology at Harvard University. Received a doctorate in law from the University of London (SOAS) with a thesis on the interaction of religious, state and social norms. Worked briefly at the Office of Legal Counsel of the Ministry of National Education and served as a rapporteur at the Constitutional Court. Currently a faculty member in the Department of General Public Law at the Faculty of Law of Social Sciences University of Ankara.

Starting from the observation that Türkiye’s legal system is not in harmony with its culture, I am in search of an original legal model that is open to nourishment from every direction but imitates none, that takes both the realities and the ideals of society as its measure, that can operate honestly and that will bring peace. I argue that the technical legal disciplines should also be rebuilt in fidelity to principles developed at the level of general theory. Transparent and fair legal solutions found in Türkiye will be our country’s concrete contribution to universal legal debates.
