ACCREDITATION WORK
Under the Regulation on Higher Education Quality Assurance and the Higher Education Quality Council, institutional accreditation is the evaluation process in which the planning, implementation, monitoring and improvement processes of a higher education institution in teaching and learning, research and development, community service and administrative services are assessed in qualitative and quantitative terms by the Council, and at the end of which the accreditation decision is taken. The Institutional Accreditation Report is the report prepared for the institution by the evaluation team within that programme.
Programme accreditation, in turn, is the external evaluation and quality assurance process in which independent evaluation and accreditation bodies measure whether a higher education programme meets the academic and field specific standards laid down in advance for a given field. Under the Regulation, external evaluation for programme accreditation is carried out by bodies authorised or recognised by the Council in that field.
The Faculty continues its accreditation work in line with the quality policy of the Higher Education Quality Council and within the scope of that Regulation.
