1. Roughly what percentile or ranking do I need in the TYT and AYT examinations to be admitted to the ASBU Faculty of Law?

2. Is it possible to transfer to your faculty from another institution?
Yes, transfers to our faculty are possible. Applications for transfer must be made in response to the announcements published on the official website of Ankara Social Sciences University before the start of each academic year. These announcements can be found under the “Yatay Geçiş” (Transfer) heading in the “Student” section of the ASBU website.
3. Do I have to complete a one-year English preparatory programme before starting the courses of the faculty? If my level of English is sufficient, may I complete the preparatory programme in less than a year, and start my studies in the spring semester?
Thirty per cent of the instruction at our faculty is in English. You must therefore pass the Foreign Language Proficiency Examination administered by the School of Foreign Languages before starting faculty courses. The examination is set at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), and the exemption score is 75. It is held three times a year. If you pass one of these examinations, you may begin your studies; whether you start in the autumn or the spring semester depends on the date of the examination you pass. 4. I understand that thirty per cent of the instruction at the ASBU Faculty of Law is in English. Does this consist only of English language courses, or are law courses also taught in English?
Thirty per cent of the courses in the curriculum are taught in English. Alongside Academic English courses, a number of law courses and other courses included in the curriculum are taught in English. 6. Is attendance compulsory?
Yes. Under Article 16 of the Ankara Social Sciences University Regulation on Associate and Undergraduate Education, attendance is compulsory. Article 16 provides: “Attendance at courses and practical sessions is compulsory. A student who, including on excused grounds, fails to attend more than 30 per cent of the theoretical hours or more than 20 per cent of the practical hours of a course shall not be entitled to sit the semester or end-of-year examination for that course.”
