I completed my undergraduate studies at Ankara University Faculty of Law, and my master’s degree and doctorate at the same university. During my doctoral studies I spent time at the Faculties of Law of Basel and Fribourg in Switzerland. My doctoral thesis is “Protection of Personal Data in Telecommunications”. During my doctoral studies I received a Swiss Government Scholarship and spent 12 months as a visiting researcher at the Universities of Fribourg and Basel. After my doctorate I moved to the Erzincan Faculty of Law to fulfil my compulsory service. At Erzincan University Faculty of Law I received the title of associate professor in 2014 with the study “Conditions of Liability for Defects under the Turkish Code of Obligations and the Vienna Sales Convention”. In 2017 I spent six months in Fribourg, Switzerland, with a TÜBİTAK scholarship for my professorship thesis work, during which I had the opportunity to review, through library research, all recent works in Swiss law. After completing my compulsory service in Erzincan, I was appointed in August 2018 as a lecturer in the Chair of Civil Law at the Faculty of Law of Social Sciences University of Ankara. I currently serve as Head of the Department of Civil Law at the same university. I have published articles in all fields of civil law and in the areas covered by the Turkish Code of Obligations. As secondary fields, I work on child law, health law and the protection of personal data, and I have supervised and served on the juries of many master’s and doctoral theses in these fields.
