Bülent Kent (Prof. Dr.) received a bachelor’s degree (1996) from Istanbul University Faculty of Law, a master’s degree (2001) from the Faculty of Law of the University of Potsdam and a doctorate (2005) from the Faculty of Law of Freie Universität Berlin. Served as a lecturer with a doctorate (2005-2007) and as an assistant professor (2007-2011) in the Department of Administrative Law and Administrative Procedure Law at the Faculty of Law of Başkent University, as an assistant professor (2011-2013) and associate professor (2013-2014) in the same department at the Faculty of Law of Yıldırım Beyazıt University, and as an associate professor (2015-2018) in the same department at the Faculty of Law of İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. Since 2018 has been serving as a professor in the Department of Administrative Law and Administrative Procedure Law at the Faculty of Law of Social Sciences University of Ankara, and during this period also served as Dean of the Faculty of Law and as Vice Rector of the University. Published books include “Regulation of the Electricity Market and Regulatory Authorities in Turkish and German Law” (Türk ve Alman Hukukunda Elektrik Piyasasının Düzenlenmesi ve Düzenleyici Kurumlar), “Blocking of Access to Websites in Türkiye” (Türkiye’de İnternet Sitelerine Erişimin Engellenmesi) and “Die Finanzhoheit der Gemeinden im deutsch-türkischen Vergleich”. Has published various articles in administrative law, administrative procedure law, regulation law, IT law and local government law.
