Esma KIRAÇ ADIR graduated at the top of the class from Gazi University Faculty of Law in 2015 and in the same year began master’s studies in private law at the Institute of Social Sciences of Gazi University. Completed the master’s programme in 2017 by defending the thesis “The Claim of the Relatives of the Injured Party for Non-Pecuniary Damages in Cases of Serious Bodily Harm” (Ağır Bedensel Zararlarda Zarar Görenin Yakınlarının Manevi Tazminat Talebi) and in the same year began doctoral studies in private law at the Institute of Social Sciences of Ankara University. During the writing of the doctoral thesis, conducted research for three months at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen (Germany). Completed the doctorate on 1 February 2023 by defending the thesis “Civil Liability for Damage Caused by Robots” (Robotların Yol Açtığı Zararlardan Doğan Hukuki Sorumluluk). Has been serving as an assistant professor in the Department of Civil Law since December 2023.
