Biography

Completed undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Law of Dokuz Eylül University in İzmir between 2001 and 2005. Between 2007 and 2015 continued studies abroad with a scholarship from the Ministry of National Education. Attended language training at the Carl Duisberg Centrum in Berlin in 2007-2008 and completed a master’s degree at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bayreuth between 2008 and 2010. Began doctoral studies at the Faculty of Law of the University of Freiburg in 2010. The doctoral thesis, supervised by Prof. Dr. Walter Perron (University of Freiburg), was completed in 2015 with Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Bosch as second supervisor, and the title of Doctor of Law was conferred in 2016.


Research Interests

Comparative studies in criminal law and criminal procedure law, modern protective measures newly applied in criminal procedure law around the world, protection of personal data


Courses Taught
  • Teaches an interdisciplinary master’s course with thesis entitled Modern Protective Measures in the Context of Article 8 of the ECHR, relating to criminal procedure law and human rights law.
